John Noble: Sleepy Hollow Season 2 Lost Its Way

John Noble agrees with us - or we agree with Noble. We do think that the second season of Sleepy Hollow was such a mess. It was hard to understand what was going on.

It was such a struggle to watch it. We loved the first season, so we had such high hopes for the second season.  The plot was confusing and convoluted.  When asked at the MCM London Comic Con, Noble said, “Sleepy Hollow definitely struggled in the second season. I thought the first season was fantastic, but with the second season, I really wondered what was going on. I used to spend a long time sitting around not doing anything.”

He was a part of season two and played the character of Henry Parrish. He did say that there is a new show runner. Furthermore, he revealed that the show will go back to its roots.

Thank God.

So, Sleep Hollow, you’ve been given another chance with Season 3. Please don’t mess it up! Otherwise, you’d lose fans - and your fans can create such incredible artworks like these ones below.

Welcome to Gotham Academy

Gotham Academy isn’t your typical Batman comic.  It’s definitely something else, and Olive Silverlock is not the typical protagonist.

The plot goes like this:

After an accident over the summer, Olive Silverlock returns to school with amnesia.  She also has adopted a strange attitude that swings back and forth from apathy to hostility.  She has also adopted an extreme fear of bats.

Olive was assigned to mentor Mia Mizoguchi, a new student, and then things start to get interesting. Then there’s the ghost that roams the halls of Gotham Academy. Is the ghost real?

We can definitely see this comic turned into a TV series and a live-action movie, don’t you?

Dragon Ball Super Storyline Revealed

Are you excited for the release of the new animated TV series, Dragon Ball Super?

We are!

We loved Dragon Ball, and we can’t wait to see what they’ll do with the new series.  Apparently, it will pick up a few years after Goku defeated Majin Buu.  The trailer shows how life was for Goku and Chi-chi.

The promo art for the new series includes Beerus and Whis.

The series will debut in Japan on July 5.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Drops Trailer and the Mania Heightens

Have you seen the final installment of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2?

If you’ve read the book, then you probably know what is in store for all the characters.  But if you haven’t cracked a single page of Suzanne Collins’ series, the trailer has actually revealed a few spoilers:

  • Finnick and Annnie got married.
  • Effie has once again helped Katniss donned rebel-like outfits as the Mockingjay prepares herself for the grand showdown.

There were scenes that we can’t remember from the book though. We’re still pretty excited to see how everything will unravel. We know what to expect after all. We bet we’re not the only one.

Inside Out is a Masterpiece

This happened to us all. We hit our adolescent years and we turn into moody, irrational creatures who grunts or screams when spoken to.  Why does that happen to us?

This is the premise of the movie Inside Out.  The story happens in the mind of Riley Anderson.  She’s a young girl piloted by her emotions: Anger, Disgust, Fear, Sadness and Joy.  They control her day-to-day operation, manage her memories and create pleasant ones.

This movie is a masterpiece.  It is one of the best films of this century.  It wil leave you emotional.  It will leave you brilliantly examining the nuances of the film.  Watching this film is a creative experience. It is storytelling in its finest form.

People will watch it years from now, and they’d still be amazed.

Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy Are In-Love With Each Other

Did you know that?

This is actually an open secret.  DC Comics fans have probably figured this out a long time ago.  Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy are definitely in-love with each other.

Nope, they’re not definitely monogamous. After all, we all know Harley Quinn is also dating Joker. Also, there has never been proof that the female villains are actually dating.  But we’ve seen all the innuendos.  We’ve seen all the revealing body language.

Finally, the creators of the on-going series have finally confirmed it.  Harley is definitely into women as well as into men. She’s dating men and Ivy too!

What We Want From the Remake of Final Fantasy VII

At E3, Square Enix announced that it will remake Final Fantasy VII from the ground up to celebrate the game’s 20th anniversary.

The game is one of the most beloved franchise.  But there are things that we’d definitely like to see in the remake:

Awesome Voice Cast

We’re finally going to hear everyone speak. Awesome, right? So, we’re hoping they’d cast a top-notch voice cast.  We hope Mena Suvari will reprise her role as Aeris.

Side quests!

The game lacked side quests.  This is one of the failings of the VII. It has mini games, but we’re hoping we’d get more side quests.

New Battle System

They won’t be keeping the traditional battle system, but it is also doubtful if they’d use a full MMORPG system.  We can’t imagine what we could expect, but we’re hoping we’d get a more intense and epic battle system.

More Yuffie and Vincent

We’d like to see Vincent and Yuffie as full characters.

What We Think About The Selection Series

So, here’s the plot summary from Goodreads:

For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth.  To live in a palace and compete for the heart of gorgeous Prince Maxon.

But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her.

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she’s made for herself–and realizes that the life she’s always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

Let’s make this clear before we proceed with our review: we like the series.

This doesn’t mean, however, that we like everything about it.

America, for one, was irritating. She was whiny and often ungrateful. We couldn’t figure out why she couldn’t figure whom to choose between Aspen and the Prince. Seriously!

The Selection, however, which is the first book in the series set us up for the second book, The Elite, which we hate. Let’s leave it at that.

It was dark and irritating. Aspen was even more annoying in this one.

Still, we waited for The One, the third book which we loved. We couldn’t just get enough of it. We couldn’t put it down.

What You Don’t Know About Prince

Prince has been around for a long time, but kids these days hardly know him.  He is, however, a legend to his fans. Here are some of the things that you may not know about Prince.

1. He wrote his first song “Funk Machine” when he was only 7.

2. He danced with James Brown when he was 10. He would later danced with Michael Jackson.

3. He was so poor when he was starting out that he’d often go to McDonald’s just to smell the food.

4. He rejected a deal with CBS because he didn’t want his first three albums to be produced by Earth, Wind and Fire.

5. He assembled The Time album and he played everything in that album. Despite the fact that he had the band go through rigorous rehearsals, he ended up recording every instrument. The only member that can be heard is Morris Day who was forced to mimic Prince’s delivery.

6. He wanted Vanity to go by the sage name Vagina.

7. He refused a duet with Michael Jackson because he wasn’t comfortable with the lyrics of “Bad”.

8. He gave “Kiss” to a band called Mazarati, but changed his mind after hearing what the band did to the song.

9. He was so deeply in-love with Susannah Melvoin whom he started pursuing when she was 16. She inspired many of his songs including “The Beautiful Ones,” “Nothing Compares 2 U,” and “Forever In My Life.” 

10. He wanted to release an entire album as a woman. He developed an alter ego known as Camille.
