How did you get started as an artist? Are you self taught or did you go to art school?
I already liked drawing since I remember, I remember once when in was in school I never listened to the teacher, I always draw on my books. At first I never hoped to be a professional artist, I just want to do it as a hobby, but one day I realized that there are great opportunities in this industry, and there is a chance to become a professional, then in August 2014 I decided to become a professional artist, actually I am economic management student. I never have a formal art education, I am self-taught, I learned everything from the internet, internet these days has unlimited resource to study about art, I also learn from artist around me. So it all depends on artist’s strong will to learn.

What inspires and influences your work? Who are the artists you look up to and why?
In the beginning of my art study, I was very inspired by Stanley Lau, he is an outstanding artist. Along the way, I adopted another artist techniques such as Sakimi Chan, Admira Wijaya, Tsuaai, Feng zhu, Alex Negrea, and many others. It is very fun to try and try, to find a proper style and efficient technique.

What is your favorite medium to work in and why do you like working in that medium?
Originally I use the manual medium, but since I know about digital art then I began to move and focus to digital art, I love drawing digitally since 18 months ago, drawing digitally is more easier and quicker for me some program like Photoshop and SAI Paint Tool is good to use, their layer feature make our drawing process a lot of easier it also very easy to adjust color digitally, but in my spare time I like doodling manually in my sketch book also.

What are your favorite subjects to create art for?
I love fantasy art theme so much, something we’ve never seen in the real world like a monster, fairy knights and others, but I also like to do a fanart and create my own original character, it’s very fun and can relieve my stress.

What’s the biggest challenge of marketing your art online? What has worked best for you?
In this competitive industry, my biggest challenge is to make your artwork known to many people, there are so many great artists out there and to make yourself well known to many people, it is a big challenge that I believe can only be achieved with hard work, never stop learning and always accept criticism from others. That is the dream that helps me survive and never surrender to study about art.
The best worked marketing method for me is to pick up the ball, never waiting for the client to call you, you must be active and I always try to update my gallery and tried to show progress in each of my new work, it is currently the most efficient method for me until this day, I believe that if you have unique and consistent style, it will attract the client and make you pop up than another artist.

What’s your ultimate goal with your art and art career?
Simple way, My biggest dream is inspiring people, my artwork will be remembered and recognized by people, inspiring new artist. Providing motivation to people that being a professional artist is a right life choices that you will never ever regret.
